To improve pupils' and parents understanding of English pronunciation and speech system with the help of diagrams, IPA symbols and basic theories.

  • Vowels and diphthongs
  • Consonants
  • Syllable and stress
  • Application of phonetic symbols in dictionaries
  • The pronunciation of -ed ending verbs
  • Weak-forms and strong-forms
  • Connected speech: linking
  • Introduction to intonation
  • Improve listening skills by using audiobook

Target: Primary school pupils and their parents (P2-P6)

No. of lessons: 9 lessons (1 hour 15 minutes per lesson)
